First, Jesus. Because He is worthy and I am so grateful for this life He has blessed me with. It doesn't always go according to my plan but I am forever grateful it goes according to His.

 

I married my sweet husband, Michael, in 2012 and we have had the best years making a life for ourselves. Which includes raising our little long-awaited miracle. Emma is my joy and the reason for pretty much everything I do. I love being a stay at home mom and feel incredibly blessed that this career is something I can do alongside raising her. It doesn't hurt that she is just the cutest bundle I've ever seen and constantly has me reaching for my camera.

 

This was not always a career for me. It was simply a way for me to hold onto as many precious moments of my daughter's childhood as I could. But I was surprised by the joy it brought me every time I caught that perfect smile or laugh (or sulk, even!) and I found myself striving to be more creative and learn as much as I could about this "hobby".

 

Photography feels much more like a gift than a job.

 

I love every part of a session...styling consultations, location scouting, planning poses, running after those wild babies to capture the perfect moment, finding what makes you smile up at your sweetheart perfectly, the newborn snuggles, staying up way too late after a session to edit "just one more" because I simply can't help myself....it is a gift.
